'East window, Bristol Cathedral/ Aug 1847/ smear shading/ Nos 1 & 2 are of a somewhat different date to the rest, - No - No 2 forms part of the border of one of the lower lights of the E. window. It is on a red ground No 3 is part of the border of one of the lower lights of the E. window. It is on a blue ground.? [The fragment top right is numbered ?1? on the recto, the fragment at the bottom, second from sinister, ?2?, and the fragment bottom left, ?3?. There is a small diagram next to the end of the inscription showing three diamond-shaped fleur-de-lis quarries set above one another and made up into a straight border with blue triangular pieces. A small diagram next to the description of no. 2 with two diamond-shaped quarries separated by a rectangular piece, all made up into a straight border with smaller triangular pieces; the label for this diagram is lost under the gumming.]
