'Lincoln Cathedral North window 1st from W. North transept / June 1842 C.W./ The glass forms part of an angel with a musical instrument, enclosed within a scroll of leaves & like a --- [illegible word] It seems to have been removed from the west window of the Nave.? [There is a diagram of the west window of the nave at Lincoln, and the position of the glass is given as B2 (? - row of tracery openings directly above the transom, second from dexter).]
