'A piece of tracery the/ only shape that has/ any glass left : the rest/ in every instance being/ filled with garish/ painted glass of/ very modern date' then 'Memorandum of the/ third shield in the/ eighth window' then 'Norbury May/ 1846' then 'There are three escutcheons in each/ window except in two instances in which/ there is one at the bottom of the middle/ light No 4 - 8/ There are eight side windows in the/ chancel four on either side : with/ four patterns of apinted glass : The/ arms are as under[,] beginning at the/ west end of Chancel on the North/ side' then 'North Side/ No 1/ No 2'
