Roundel: quasi-heraldic design. On the
left stands a bearded and bare-footed man wearing a white tunic
and stockings with yellow-stain hems, holding a large shield
placed on the ground charged with a large fleur-de-lis, all
argent, set in a rural landscape with trees, buildings and a
hill. Trace-line, matt wash, relieving. White glass, with yellow
stain. Flemish. c.1530 – c.1540. Good condition, modern border.

Roundel: St Jerome and donor. The
bearded and nimbed saint kneels wearing a white mantle and
holding a crucifix over his right shoulder between (on the left)
a tree from which hangs his cardinal’s hat and an open book on
the ground and (on the right) a kneeling tonsured and praying
friar in Dominican habit. The scene is a rocky landscape with
trees and mountains in the background. Trace-line, matt wash,
stipple-shading, relieving. White glass, with yellow stain.
Flemish. c.1510 – c.1520. One repair lead, paint badly rubbed in
places, modern border.

Roundel: Crucifixion with St Lawrence and
donor. Jesus hangs on the cross in the centre. On
the left stands St Lawrence, vested as a deacon holding his
gridiron in his right hand and an open book in his left. Before
him kneels a tonsured priest in white chasuble and furred almuce
looking up to Jesus and praying. On the right a large shield
hangs on a tree with a quasi-heraldic design of a tree with a
field of flying birds. The scene is set in a rocky landscape
with a town in the background. From each of the three persons
depicted comes a long yellow-stained scroll with a text from the
bible. That from Jesus reads: 'Ego su(m) ego su(m) ipse
q(ui) deleo i(n)iq(ui)tates tuas
p(ro)pter me & peccatoru(m)
tuor(um) no(n) recordabor
Esa(ias) 4'.

Roundel: personification of Faith
standing wearing a veil and white robe with yellow-stain border,
holding a chalice and host in her right hand and a Crucifix in
the left. In the background is a rural landscape with a moated
castle. Trace-line, matt wash, relieving. White glass, with
yellow stain. Flemish. c.1520 – c.1530. Complete, but rather
dirty; some paint loss. The roundel is a slightly irregular oval
and may have been cut down from a circle or rectangle.

Roundel: heraldic design with a large
shield bearing an oak tree with leaves and acorns held by two
angel supporters dressed in elaborate costumes with yellow-stain
details. Each angel supports the shield with one hand and holds
a strap attached to it with the other. Trace-line, matt wash,
relieving. White glass, with yellow stain. German. c.1530 –
c.1540. Very light external corrosion, otherwise excellent
condition.
