'Traced from a window in Lullingstone Church. - C.S. - 5 September 1832 [down right-hand side, in C.W.'s hand; main inscription, in ?C.S.'s hand:] ?The upper part of this coat is wanting; the lost quartering however have been supplied by Mr Willement, 30 March 1835 & are as follows. 1st: Argent, a chevron between 3 eagles legs arsed a la guise, Sable Bray 2nd: Or, on a bend gules, 3 goats, argent. - Halliwell 3rd: Sable, a chevron between 3 Bulls heads caboshed argent.- Norbury 4th: - Butler of Sudeley 5th: - Sudley 6th Bray (antient) For the blazon of these 3 coats [i.e., 4-6], see the drawing on the other side - This last coat ought to be vaire ar. & azure 3 bendlets gules -? [?lost? in ?the lost quarterings? and ?ought to? in ?last coat ought to be? are superscript insertions. There is a diagram with arms 1-3 occupying the top half of the shield, and arms 4-6 the lower half; the text for arms 1-3 is written down the dexter side, for arms 4-6 down the sinister side.]
