'West window, Fawkham Church, Kent/ 26 March 1847 C.W./ In Thorpe?s Custumale Roffense, p. 113, an engraving is given of the ancient arms of Fawkeham, - as in the margin. They are thus blazoned by Thorpe: 'Argent, a fess Gules, in chief 3 roundels of the 2d:' - The chief is all that now remains of this coat.? [Winston gives a small diagram of the shield.]
