'All this glass came from the East window of Bristol Cathedral, but belongs to the other windows of the choir. No. 1 is part of a border in one of the N. windows of the choir/ No. 2 is painted on a piece of damaged, or imperfect Ruby. February 1848 C.W.' [The piece on the bottom, second from dexter, is numbered ?1? on the recto, the piece above it ?2?. Winston gives a little diagram, with two pieces of type number ?1? above each other and facing the same direction, the longer sides on the left, made up into a straight border with triangular red pieces.]
