'East window Mayor's Chapel Bristol/ September 1848 C.W. The figure, now above the inscription, holds in its hand, a carpenter's square. It seems to be of the first quarter of the 16th century. The portion of the Creed assigned to S. Thomas in the glass at Fairford Gloucestershire is, 'Descendit ad infera, tertia die resurrexit a mortuis.' So also in Gavanti Thesaurus p. 49?
